Unique opportunity to get to know one of the most beautiful gardens in Lombardy, that of Villa Della Porta Bozzolo in Casalzuigno (VA). Saturday 5 June at 3 pm Emanuela Orsi Borio, landscape architect and Head of the Historical Gardens del FAI, will accompany the public to discover the Italian park – created in the eighteenth century and marked according to a daring scenography of stone terraces, crossed by a monumental staircase that leads to the large lawn of the ‘theater’, with a fish pond and a steep path culminating at the top of the belvedere – and will illustrate its history, botanical curiosities and FAI’s projects to enhance it (reservations required).

Saturday 5 June, at 11 am and 3 pm, Carlo Chinetti, gardener of Villa and Panza Collection in Varese, will be an exceptional “guide” and will show the arboreal heritage kept in the centuries-old park of the house, deepening the theme of evolution in the management of trees in historical parks, from formal rigor to the enhancement of ecosystem services. Through the description of some species such as Turkey oak, magnolia grandiflora and hornbeams that make up the large gallery, it will be possible to understand the development of plants, their cultural and symbolic, environmental and ecological value. The “appointments in the garden” at Villa Panza will continue on Sunday: at 11 am you can take part in a guided tour by Emanuela Orsi Borio, dedicated to the transformations that have designed the park over time up to the current structure

You can learn about the history of the largest and most majestic garden in Bergamo Alta, that of Palazzo Moroni. On Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 June, at 10.30, 15 and 16.30, the public will have the opportunity to admire, on a guided tour, the formal seventeenth-century terracing and the vast vegetable garden, annexed during the nineteenth century, which still constitutes today a corner of unspoiled countryside in one of the most historic centers beautiful of Italy. A special occasion, between history and botany, to discover the latest addition to the FAI heritage and the important restoration project started. On Sunday there will be extraordinary visits in collaboration with the “Lorenzo Rota” Botanical Garden of Bergamo for adults and children, dedicated to the world of plants.

Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June Villa del Balbianello in Tremezzina (CO) will propose, for lovers of creativity and nature, a special landscape painting demonstration, which will be held in the park. The local artist Sabrina Morganti, letting herself be inspired by the panorama of the Lario or by a glimpse of the garden, will illustrate the watercolor technique, explain its secrets and, in the meantime, tell curiosities and stories related to the territory. Those who want to paint with her can bring the necessary tools from home.

SAFE VISITING METHODS WITHIN THE FAI PROPERTIES
To allow the public to visit the assets in maximum safety, FAI has taken care to ensure full compliance with the principles defined by the Government, starting with maintaining interpersonal or physical distance. In all the assets the visit will be limited by number of visitors and, where possible, organized in a “one way” to avoid possible crossings. The smaller rooms and those that do not allow a circular path will be visible only by looking out; the doors will be kept open to reduce contact surfaces. It will be mandatory to wear a mask for the duration of the visit. There will also be dispensers with sanitizing gel both at the ticket office and in the critical points along the route.
The day before the appointment, participants who have made the reservation (highly recommended) will receive an email with information on how to access and a link from which to download support materials for the visit to the Property, by the FAI Cultural Affairs Office. . The same materials, which will no longer be distributed in paper format, will be accessible on site on digital media thanks to a QR Code that can be downloaded directly at the ticket office.
Access to the ticket office, bookshop and service areas will be allowed to one visitor or family unit at a time; in FAI stores, customers will have to wear a mask, and disposable gloves will be available if they are preferred to hand sanitation. We also invite you to make purchases with credit and debit cards, to reduce the exchange of cards between staff and visitors. Access is forbidden to those with a body temperature above 37.5 °.
