The administration restores the restricted circulation areas. Here’s everything you need to know
Reactivation of Area B, restoration of the normal opening hours of Area C (7.30-19.30), of the regulated parking in the paid areas (blue stripes) and in those reserved for residents (yellow stripes) and the prohibition of parking for street cleaning. Wednesday 9 June, as decided by the Municipality of Milan in agreement with the Prefecture, the mobility provisions that had been temporarily suspended as part of the measures aimed at containing the Coronavirus will re-enter into force.
Starting from 9 June, with the usual weekly hours (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays, from 7.30 to 19.30), the video cameras will be reactivated. Area B, the restricted traffic area with a ban on access and circulation for the most polluting vehicles which coincides with a large part of the territory of the city of Milan. Entry to diesel vehicles euro 0, 1, 2 and 3, petrol euro 0 and 1 and to all vehicles over 12 meters in length (except those heading to their offices) will be forbidden. 145 cameras will therefore be in operation from 9 June: of these, 55 will immediately serve as a sanction and the remaining as the pre-exercise period ends. Another 43 cameras will be installed and progressively activated during the year.
It goes back to working normally too Area C (for a fee therefore from 7.30 to 19.30 and with access bans for diesel vehicles euro 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 and petrol euro 0 and 1), until now active with reduced hours.
