Between open days and the possibility of changing the date, the vaccine in Piedmont, from now on, finally becomes easier. The Region had initially opted for a very rigid booking system which provided for pre-registration on the ilPiemontetivaccina.it platform and confirmation of the appointment with the date and day that arrived only many weeks after registration, and often at close to the call. A system that had provoked protests due to the uncertainty of those who signed up without knowing anything more. The protocol has changed since May: the appointment arrived within 48 hours of registration but without the possibility of changing the date and time.
Until now. The ASL City of Turin, in fact, has launched the experimentation that allows those between 40 and 59 years old, and the appointment with the vaccine set between 10 and 30 June, to move place, time and date. Just click on the link in the email to change the appointment. It is, explains the ASL, an “experimental initiative” which is destined to be very successful especially now, close to the holidays, because of which many have preferred to wait to register in order not to risk receiving the appointment. just when they are out of town, or having to return for the recall. The possibility to choose day, time and date now allows a better organization of one’s time.
In addition to the flexibility of the appointment, there are many “open door vaccines” initiatives in recent days. Yesterday the six thousand appointments for the weekend open day at Valentino were completed in just minutes; the same fate today for the 1000 places available for the “Night of the vaccine” dedicated to young people, all sold out in just five minutes. In fact, at noon, those aged between 18 and 28 have the opportunity to register for the Vaccine Night organized from 9.30 pm on Saturday 5 June until 3.30 am on Sunday morning, organized in collaboration between Reale Group , Asl City of Turin, CDC and Piedmont Region.
In short, a few minutes and the appointments have all been booked, demonstrating that among young and very young people the desire to get vaccinated is high, especially in view of the summer and holidays. This is also demonstrated by the start of the pre-accession campaign that began this morning for those aged between 16 and 29: at 11.30 there were already almost 80 thousand registrations on the ilpiemontetivaccina.it platform.
