The new car sharing ‘Leasys Go!’ Arrives in Rome, with 300 electric cars

ROMA – ‘Leasys Go!’ lands in Rome. The company of the same name in the FCA Bank group today launched a new car sharing service, this time fully electric, with 300 cars in ‘free floating’ mode. The presentation took place in the presence of the mayor of Rome, Virginia Raggi, of the CEO of FCA bank Giacomo Carelli and the CEO of Leasys Paolo Manfredi. Rome is the third Italian city to welcome ‘Leasys Go!’ after Milan and Turin and fully operational it will house about five hundred cars, all electric and in three different colors.

The area within which the service can be used corresponds to alarge portion of the city inside the Gra, from Aurelia to Tuscolana, with the possibility of arriving as far as Fiumicino airport. After registering for € 9.90, the cost of the service is 0.29 cents per minute. Alternatively a subscription for 19.90 euros per month. Car parking will be free and not linked to the presence of columns.

“Today – explained Raggi – we are launching this new fully electric car sharing service thanks to Leasys. The initial endowment will be 300 cars in three colors. We are therefore taking a new step forward on sustainable mobility in the city after the arrival of scooters and bicycles. I want to mention that the Romans will not have to worry about the refills that will be carried out by Leasys“. Carelli recalled some characteristics of Leasys, whose Hq is located in Rome, at Eur. “Our company – he said – offers long, short and medium rental services. Now we are launching this car sharing, with a sustainable zero-emissions fleet, already present in Turin and Milan and soon in Lyon and Valencia ”.
“Since the service started – added Manfredi – 45,000 rentals have already been made in Turin and Milan. We expect with Rome to greatly increase the numbers.
