Roma – Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th June it will be possible to visit all over Italy beyond 150 gardens, some opened on an exceptional basis, as part of the initiative Appointment in the Garden. Promoted by APGI-Association of Parks and Gardens of Italy, with the support of Ales and the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. The event, which this year reached the fourth edition it is thought of as an authentic garden party and invites the general public to discover, and especially this year to rediscover the surprising historical, artistic, botanical and landscape richness of Italian gardens: from large historical sites to small private gardens. A series of meetings, events, readings and special activities as a cultural offer for the whole family.
Roma – The event will also offer the opportunity to inform the general public about the activities necessary to care, restore and protect the gardens, in view of a major national enhancement plan. An auspice that is finally reflected in the National recovery and resilience plan, which contains measures in favor of the heritage of Italian parks and gardens.
Roma – The event, which counts on the participation of almost all the regions of Italy, will take place simultaneously in numerous European countries in collaboration with the initiative Meet at the gardens, testifying to the increasing attention paid to green heritage, also at an international level.
There are many special activities proposed for this event: to the traditional guided tours are added workshops, yoga lessons, botanical painting courses, tastings, and musical moments.
Here it is how to discover the gardens to visit in Rome and Lazio.
