MILAN. The 72-year-old who yesterday hit and ran over a three-year-old child in the Parco Lago di Paderno Dugnano (Milan) was driving a car that had been impounded and with his license revoked. This was confirmed by the Public Prosecutor of Monza, Claudio Gittardi.
Contrary to what it seemed at first it was discovered that the elderly man had obtained his driving license, which was then taken away from him. The man, an Italian with a criminal record, is intubated and in serious condition at the Milanese hospital of Niguarda.

According to an initial reconstruction of the facts, the car fell for a few meters along the staircase at the bottom of which the little one was. Helped initially by the same parents, who were unharmed, it immediately appeared serious. He is now hospitalized in critical condition at the Bergamo hospital. Among the hypotheses being examined by the investigators – the investigations are in the hands of the carabinieri of the Sesto San Giovanni company – also that of illness. On the other hand, driving in a state of alteration by alcohol or substances is excluded. At the moment, the 72-year-old is being investigated for very serious road injuries and, in fact, driving without a license.
