Alberto Di Rubba and Andrea Manzoni, the Lega’s two auditors in Parliament, were sentenced to respectively 5 years e 4 years and 4 months in the process with shortened procedure that saw them accused for the sale of the warehouse in Cormano, in the Milanese area, purchased by the Lombardia Film Commission and through which, according to the investigators’ accusations, they would have been distracted 800 thousand euro of public funds. The alleged offenses are embezzlement and disturbed freedom of choice of the contractor. According to the prosecution, the different punishment is linked to the fact that at the time of the events Di Rubba held a position of “public service”, as president of the Lombardia Film Commission, a foundation owned by both the Region and the Municipality of Milan. The two accountants of the Carroccio will also have to pay 150 thousand euro for damages to Lombardia Film Commission e 25 thousand euro to the Municipality of Milan, in accordance with the provisions of the gup Guido Salvini. The defense lawyer of Di Rubba and Manzoni, Piermaria Corso, after the sentence commented: “Maximum respect for the sentence and maximum dissent from the sentence”.
