The nightlife is now almost more frightening than the riots caused by violent fans. Groups of thugs, coming from the degraded suburbs of the capital, are infiltrating more and more frequently among the young patrons of the “fun squares” of the historic center, causing fights and riots as well as having instigated those present not to wear the anti-infection mask.
And here, after last weekend’s stabbings, another disconcerting episode has upset the nocturnal “outdoor” in Campo de ‘Fiori.
During an anti-gathering service ordered by the police headquarters, in fact, the policemen were stoned by some boys who did not want to go home.
The agents had intervened in the square of Santa Caterina della Rota, because some residents had called 112 to report disturbing noises and loud music, which lasted beyond the curfew time. A 15-year-old was denounced during the excited phases of the police intervention, who intervened in a hellish situation: the challenge of the groups was conducted three broken bottles and protest chants. Those young people just didn’t want to know they were respecting the anti Covid rules. The minor will have to answer for the crimes of damage to state property, resistance to a public official and dangerous throwing of things.
Meanwhile, the detectives of the Celio and Viminale police stations are examining the CCTV footage to identify the other accomplices of the teenager who, in the meantime, had managed to escape. The new commissioner Mario Della Cioppa, who has placed the issue relating to violent nightlife among the priority objectives, will apply a measure of personal prevention to the arrested (even if a minor), precisely because of the ascertained social danger.
Over the next weekend, new operational schemes will be adopted to avoid any other violent reactions in the square. In other words, the units of the scientific police will be used to film the most troubled subjects.
