All about Bansky – Lazio arrives in Rome

250 works and unpublished documentary to discover mysterious artist

(ANSA) – ROME, MAY 04 – About 250 works created from 1999 to 2020, all from private collections, a substantial selection of photographs, reportages and videos, and an unpublished documentary to discover as much as possible of the most famous unknown artist in the world : “All about Banksy” is the title of the great exhibition set up in Rome in the rooms of the Chiostro del Bramante from 5 May to 9 January 2022 dedicated to the famous protagonist of street art. Ideal continuation of the previous “A visual protest”, also scheduled at the Chiostro del Bramante from September 2020 to March 2021 and whose usability has been significantly reduced due to the health emergency, this new exhibition aims to deepen the artistic poetics of Banksy through a detailed narration made possible thanks to the contribution of Butterfly & David Chaumet – Butterfly Art News who took care of the Capitoline exhibition project by making their archive completely available for the first time. The itinerary includes all the fundamental themes that the artist has dealt with in 20 years of career: the first Black Books, the many rats (mice) and then politics, religion, power, war, children’s rights, migratory phenomena, refugees, the surveillance society, the environment, ecology, the art market.
