There are 20,346 coronavirus infections in Emilia Romagna today, January 14, 2022, according to numbers and covid data from the region’s bulletin. Recorded 24 more deaths. New cases were detected on 69,665 swabs performed in the last 24 hours. The percentage of new positives is therefore 29.2%.

Patients currently admitted to intensive care in Emilia-Romagna are 148 (-3 compared to yesterday); the mean age is 61.9 years. Of the total, 98 are not vaccinated (zero doses of vaccine received, average age 60.5 years), 66.2%, while 50 are vaccinated with a full cycle (average age 64.4 years).

A figure that must be related to the fact that people over 12 vaccinated with a full cycle in Emilia-Romagna exceed 3.6 million, about 300 thousand vaccinated people who have not yet vaccinated: the percentage of unvaccinated people admitted to intensive care is therefore much more high compared to those who have been vaccinated.

As for the patients admitted to the other Covid departments, there are 2,312 (+54 compared to yesterday), average age 69 years.

Compared to the 20,648 new cases registered yesterday, the infections today register a -1.5%. The number of people admitted to Covid departments increased by 2.4%, those in intensive care units decreased by 2%.

As for the total number of people healed, they are 2,971 more than yesterday and reach 479,992. The active cases, that is the actual patients, today are 276,793 (+17,351). Of these, people in isolation at home, i.e. those with mild symptoms who do not require hospital treatment or are symptom-free, are 274,333 (+17,300) overall, 99.1% of the total active cases.
