The reports complain about the inability to connect to the Internet and therefore to send or receive emails, but also to make calls.
The 2022 of Internet malfunctions and inefficiencies inaugurated it PosteMobile, the connectivity service and mobile and fixed telephony offered by PostePay. In today’s morning, Monday 3rd January, they began to multiply network problem reports of the operator, which apparently involve several cities throughout the Italian territory.
PosteMobile does not work, problems reported
According to the Downdetector portal, which over the years has become a reference point for reporting failures or online disruptions, the first problems occurred to PosteMobile around 10 this morning, gradually involving more people and without having given any sign of resolution yet. On Twitter, where the reports are articulated by the chirps of users, problems with roaming, cellular data connections and in some cases with calls are complained. Some of the users who tried to reach customer service were also unable to speak to an operator for assistance.
Problems throughout Italy
Also from Downdetector comes data on the geographical location of inefficiencies, but they are not encouraging data. In fact, they are in evidence many of the major capitals without particular distinction: from Turin to Naples, passing through Milan and Venice but also – to a lesser extent – from Livorno, Bari, Taranto and the Sicilian centers. Since these are also many of the most populous centers, one can imagine that even in the less densely populated areas there are problems that are not represented by the Downdetector system.
The operator at the moment has not yet provided explanations regarding what is happening on his network, and the latest interventions on social channels date back to 31 December. The answer could arrive in a few minutes or be missing altogether, should the technicians resolve the problem shortly.
