The traffic police denounced two people who had moved away from quarantine and had taken public transport, two trains of the Rome-Viterbo and the Rome-Lido: they did not have green passes and masks
Over 120 fines including non-use of masks and lack of a green pass on board public transport or in places where a green pass was required because of indoor activities. A positive balance of law enforcement checks on Monday followed by yesterday’s: the data are now being examined by the Prefecture which has meanwhile underlined that on the day of the debut of the new rules and the super green pass, the checks by the police, carabinieri, finance and traffic police there were 13,751 in the city and the metropolitan area – in Rome alone over 12,000 (12,182) – with 73 penalties for green passes, another 8 for owners of shops, bars and restaurants for not having enforced the obligation of the green pass, and again 41, especially in the center, for the violation of the trade union ordinance on the use of protective masks in crowded areas, from the center to Prati, to other shopping streets, such as avenue Libya.
A total of 819 commercial establishments were controlled, three of which were closed – two by the police in Esquilino and one by the carabinieri in Colli Aniene – for a fixed period of time due to a series of irregularities also linked to the violation of anti-Covid regulations., while one person was denounced by the carabinieri for having violated the quarantine as positive. A similar story to that which happened yesterday morning in Piazzale Flaminio, where the traffic police blocked a 47-year-old who had just come out of the Rome-Viterbo train station.
In addition to not being in possession of the green pass to travel on the convoy he had just used, the passenger was also forced home as he was in quarantine because he was infected: the agents thus identified him and accompanied him to the Umberto I polyclinic to be placed in solitary confinement afterwards. the disease confirmation swab. A complaint was filed for him for not respecting the health provisions. Similar situation, but also daring, at the Ostia Nord stop of the Rome-Lido railway, where a 29-year-old passenger, also escaped from home isolation because he was infected, he climbed over the turnstiles to avoid being checked: he was not wearing a mask and moreover he did not even have a train ticket. The traffic police chased him and blocked him.
In addition to the fines, which for him are almost 3 thousand euros in total, the boy was also denounced for resistance and insult to a public official. From the investigations of the police it emerged instead that in the center there was a greater respect for the green pass with over 300 checks without fines only in the Termini station area, while there have been sanctions against the EUR and from the parts of Porta Maggiore and via Prenestina.
