Already in serious condition, Fabio Mastrogiacomo got worse over the hours, dying on the morning of 2 December.

The 53-year-old was hit by a car last Wednesday, at 6 pm, in Viale dei Romanisti, at street number 123. The VI Torri Group of the Rome Capital Police intervened on the spot and investigated to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident. With the death of Mastrogiacomo, now the file – as usual – has been transformed into a street murder. A duty in these cases. On Monday, according to what RomaToday learns, there will be an autopsy and then the date of the funeral will be known.

The news, in a few minutes, spread throughout the neighborhood. Fabio Mastrogiacomo was well known in Torrespaccata. “I remember him always smiling”, writes Marco on the neighborhood group. “I always saw him at the Regina mundi I’m sorry he’s gone”, the thought of Septimius. “Poor Fabio, how many memories I have of you. The little shy wolf had given way to a man who was always jovial and proud of his work”, recalls Vincenzo.

Someone, however, denounces the danger of the road. “Fatalities have taken away the roots and via dei Roma a track is back”, Fabio denounces. “The only solution is to put roundabouts instead of traffic lights”, adds Biagio.
