A 50-year-old thought he was fooling health workers and getting the green pass. Governor Cirio: “It may seem ridiculous, but it is a gesture of enormous gravity”

The imagination of certain no vax has no limits. “He shows up to get the vaccine with his silicone arm thinking he is deceiving health workers: a fifty-year-old denounced in Piedmont”. The incident that is unbelievable happened on the evening of Thursday 2 December, in one of the vaccination centers with direct access for the first doses. A 50-year-old showed up with a fake bicep, a silicone deltoid, thinking he was fooling health workers, tricking the system, and getting the green pass without actually getting the vaccine. “Although the silicone application was very similar to real skin, the color and the perception to the touch made the health worker involved in the vaccination suspicious – explain from the Region – who at that point asked the person to show the arm in full” .

Discovered the mystery, the man begged the operator to turn a blind eye. From piazza Castello, however, they let it be known that “he will be reported to the carabinieri and the ASL will also report the fact to the Prosecutor”. The case “borders on ridicule, were it not for the fact that we are talking about a gesture of enormous gravity, unacceptable in the face of the sacrifice that the pandemic is making our entire community pay, in terms of human lives and social and economic costs – they comment. the president of the Piedmont Region Alberto Cirio and the councilor for health Luigi Icardi -. Our thanks, on the other hand, goes to all health workers who have been continuously involved in our vaccination campaign for months without ever lowering attention and professionalism, starting with those who acted promptly this evening in Biella, one of the first ASLs to have also already achieved virtuously more than 93% of the target of daily administrations that the Region has given to its healthcare companies to run faster and faster with the third doses ».
