If we were talking about football, it would be a derby that will be played on December 18 to choose the president of the province. Derby because two groups from the same political area will face off, on the one hand Lega, FI and FdI who support the mayor of Varzi Giovanni Palli and on the other the Northern League supporters who support the mayor of Marzano Angelo Bargigia (in the photo). On the other hand, the candidate of the Democratic Party Alessandro Zocca (San Martino Siccomario) was unable to collect the 320 signatures necessary.
“We have collected 275 signatures of administrators – explains the regional secretary Pd Vinicio Peluffo – and 255 for the list of the center left. We will not be able to compete for the presidency, but we will continue to work to elect our representatives in the Provincial Council”. In contrast to the decision of the commissioner of the Carroccio Jacopo Vignati who chose Palli, several administrators have focused on Bargigia by collecting the signatures one day in advance.
“I make available my experience as mayor and provincial councilor – said the mayor of Marzano – In the next few days a tour will start in every municipality, from the largest to the smallest, to collect the requests of the territory”.
Palli’s supporters, on the other hand, deposited their signatures at 12 yesterday, on the wire. A choice that has been interpreted with the need to raise consensus especially in Lomellina, after the friendly fire that shot Andrea Ceffa (mayor of Vigevano).
