Murder in Ventimiglia, lightning investigations by the carabinieri: presumed killer arrested

Ventimiglia. The alleged killer of the young African, also a native of Sudan, found in a body yesterday morning under the Roverino flyover bridge, in Ventimiglia, is an irregular Sudanese in Italy. In less than 24 hours from the murder, the carabinieri of the Compagnia di Ventimiglia and the Imperia Investigative Unit gave a face and a name to the murderer, proceeding with the arrest of the judicial police, which took place in the middle of the night between Friday and Saturday.

The man was identified during the search for the person responsible for the event conducted by the military at the same time as the technical checks carried out on the spot. The Arma soldiers saw him while they were identifying other foreigners present in the area in front of the Roverino cemetery: the man had a deep stab wound on his hand and, when questioned, admitted his responsibility in the attack fatal.

Further investigations are still in progress aimed at defining the context in which the matter arose.
