The process for the sale of Gelato d’Italia, one of the brands of Indian, an Italian group controlled since 2016 by Idea Taste of Italy, the thematic fund managed by Dea Capital Alternative Funds sgr, gets underway. In the next few days, the teasers, prepared by the advisor Lincoln International, will be sent and financial operators, but also large multinationals in the sector, would already be at the starting line.
Among the latter, according to rumors, there would also be the giant Froneri, a multinational born from the alliance between Nestlè and the private equity fund Pai. In fact, Froneri would be looking for production capacity and Indian would have the right characteristics, also considering the 30 million euro investment in the plant.
Idea Taste of Italy controls 70% of Indian srl, a company that was owned by the Olivi family and which is active through brands such as Gelato d’Italia, Dessert d’Italia, Bottega della Panna and Indianino.
