VENICE – An outbreak of Covid-19 cases was registered in the province of Venice in one primary school of Mira, probably starting from the initial positivity of a teacher, who had already led to the quarantine of a class of the Institute. The Ulss 3 Serenissima company announces it today. After 10 cases of positivity among the pupils of this first class tested, in the following days the investigations have identified further in three of the five classes of the Institute: 10 in one, two in another and finally two in the last, one of which awaiting confirmation; a fifth class results without cases. By monitoring the evolution of the situation, the Ulss 3 Public Health and Hygiene Service has progressively implemented all containment and prevention actions according to ministerial indications. Therefore, 25 positive cases have been detected so far, while 64 school contacts are currently in quarantine. The pupils involved are for the most part asymptomatic; the few with few symptoms have mild symptoms, such as abdominal pain, vomiting or cold.
