After the occupation on 28 October, the students of the Manara high school in Monteverde continue to express their dissent towards the head teacher, Professor Atala Grattarola.
According to what was reported by a representative of the student collective, in fact, the manager would have asked for the suspension of 5 pupils: “Three school representatives – let Roma Today know – plus one of those who provided their personal details to the police and another who, according to the principal, is one of the promoters of the occupation. But it is absolutely not so, in fact he had no role in the protest “.
Also according to what the students say, in two cases the request for a disciplinary measure would have been rejected by the class councils: “Evidently the teachers – they explain – did not agree. This created embarrassment in the manager”. Grattarola’s request sparked the protest of the pupils, who on Monday 8 November met in the school yard and displayed a banner: “Then suspend us all!”, Also relaunched on the collective’s Instagram account.
Roma Today asked the headmaster of Manara for a comment, but the secretariat replied that “since the ‘occupation’ affair is now over, the Headmaster does not believe he has any statement to make on the matter”.
