After the inauguration in Milan, Italy Sotheby’s International Realty brings a new hospitality philosophy to Rome.

For its openings to the public, the manager international luxury property prefers the intimate atmosphere of a private residence and the timeless elegance of the masters of Italian design. Italy Sotheby’s International Realty, protagonist in the real estate sector in Italy and in the world, opens the first real estate showroom in Rome, in Via della Fontanella di Borghese: an exclusive space in the heart of the capital that tells a new philosophy of hospitality.

The residential department promotes exclusive properties for sale in the most important Italian cities, from Rome to Milan, Turin, Florence and Naples. But also in tourist resorts such as Capri, Portofino, the lakes of Garda, Como and Maggiore, the Costa Smeralda, Tuscany and Sicily.
The High Street Retail department assists the main luxury brands in finding boutiques and showrooms in the most exclusive streets of Italy such as Via Monte Napoleone in Milan and Via dei Condotti in Rome.

The exhibition, curated by the Giustini / Stagetti Gallery, restores the refined and timeless charm that has always characterized the work of Italy Sotheby’s International Realty and confirms its strong residential vocation. With this in mind, the showroom presents a selection of exclusive modern and contemporary furnishings and evokes, in a succession of environments, a research dedicated to the recovery of a classic taste and a design for domestic use that help to recreate the atmosphere of a private residence.

In the new space it will be possible to admire iconic pieces such as the monumental Valmarana table by Carlo Scarpa, the Gala armchair by Franco Albini and the one for Cassina by Ico Parisi, the famous lights by Tito Agnoli produced with O-Luce, the coffee table by Afra and Tobia Scarpa for Poggi, the wardrobe by Carlo De Carli for Casa Galli, and the chandeliers by Fulvio Bianconi (for Venini Murano) and Gino Sarfatti (for Arteluce). But also contemporary accessories such as, for example, the C_zero shelves and the XYZ coffee table by Luca Cipelletti and the ink drawings by Fernando Campana.

Operationally, the showroom team will offer guests the services offered by Italy Sotheby’s International Realty in the 10 offices already present in Italy and dedicated to the Residential, High-Street-Retail, Retreats and Investments and Advisory Services sectors.

Among the residential proposals of Italy Sotheby’s International Realty in Rome, at the moment, a fascinating representative property of 542 square meters on one level inside a historic residence, the seventeenth-century building wanted by the Orsini family, located between Piazza Navona and Sant’Angelo castel. The space is divided into 19 elegant rooms, with finely decorated coffered ceilings, fireplaces and fascinating views.

Alongside the furniture elements designed by Scarano – the desk and a bench, both characterized by pure and solid lines, whose volume is enhanced by the use of ash wood – you can admire the iconic D70 sofa designed by Osvaldo Borsani for Tecno, the monumental Valmarana table by Carlo Scarpa and other accessories by great masters of twentieth century design, such as the “Light” by Gio Ponti, the famous lights by Tito Agnoli produced with O-Luce, the chairs by Charles and Ray Eames and the Coffee Table del danese Poul Kæjrholm. Furniture usually intended for private homes and chosen here for their universal and versatile language, interpreters of a still new taste and anticipating the characteristics of contemporary living.
