Brindisi, the body of the Bari banker Andrea Polignano was found on the coast

The lifeless body of Andrea Polignano, the 47-year-old banker from Bari who disappeared from the Apulian capital last Thursday, was found this morning on a beach in Brindisi. The body would have been dragged for more than 50 nautical miles by the waters to reach the shoreline of the Red Granchio beach.

On the spot, as BrindisiReport explains, the police officers arrived together with the Forensics, 118 staff and the Harbor Master’s Office. The searches had been started for days: his car had been identified in Torre a Mare, in the Grotta della Regina area. At the time of the discovery, on the Brindisi beach, the 47-year-old’s body was lying on his stomach, without his clothes, carried away by the current.
