(LaPresse) The occupation of the Virgilio high school is the fifth in a month in Rome. A protest, that of the Roman institutes, which is spreading but which does not create particular alarms to the police. To occupy students who try to “be listened to, against the staggering of schedules, backward programs, the lack of social spaces”. Sociality is the element that most characterizes these revolts. “We have come from two years of pandemic and imprisonment – explains Irene of the self-organized collective of the Virgilio high school – at school there are no moments of contact and knowledge that do not go beyond the schematism of programs and discipline”. The day is marked by schedules that establish guard shifts and alternative courses to ministerial programs: “Here we try to propose the school we would like, a school that talks about us, about sexuality, about gender relations, that offers a critical starting point for reality “.
