The Professional Technical Institutes represent the great challenge of the Draghi government and of the education ministry led by Bianchi. Both the premier and the minister have spoken out several times in favor of ITS, increasingly valid alternatives to post-diploma and training for the new professions of the future.

Regional disparities are evident in our country. There Autonomous Province of Bolzano does better than the European average with 88% employed among young people with vocational training, the Veneto it came in immediately after with 79%, followed by Friuli Venezia Giulia (72%) ed Emilia Romagna (71%). The European average of 2020 is 76%, the EU target is to reach 82% by 2025.

The highest percentages (100%) are achieved by the Luxembourg, two Dutch regions, one German and one Swedish.
