The Civil Protection Department has issued a new adverse weather warning for tomorrow Wednesday, November 3, evaluating an orange alert on five central-southern regions and a yellow alert in twelve regions. All the fault of a vast perturbation of Atlantic origin that will bring bad weather both in the Center-North and on part of the South.

Bad weather continues to rage over Italy and still is weather alert for tomorrow’s day Wednesday 3 November over large areas of the country, from north to south. In fact, the Civil Protection Department has issued a new warning of adverse weather conditions and, in agreement with the regions involved, which are responsible for activating the civil protection systems in the territories concerned, has assessed a orange alert on five regions south central and a yellow alert in twelve regions. All the fault is a large Atlantic perturbation that has already been affecting our country for some hours with thunderstorms and storms accompanied by a decisive strengthening of the winds on the southern regions.

Orange weather alert tomorrow in 5 regions

From the early hours of tomorrow, Wednesday 3 November, the notice provides for scattered to widespread rainfall, predominantly of downpour or storm, on Liguria, northern Tuscany and Sardinia. From the early morning of tomorrow, widespread rainfall is expected, mainly downpour or thunderstorm, over Lazio, Campania, Abruzzo and Molise, with more persistent phenomena close to the Apennine sectors. Also from the early morning of tomorrow, scattered rainfall is expected, also of a downpour or thunderstorm, on Lombardy and Veneto, especially alpine sectors, and on northern Puglia. The phenomena will be accompanied by strong showers, frequent electrical activity and strong gusts of wind. For the day of Wednesday, November 3, an orange alert of moderate criticality was assessed for hydraulic risk on part of Abruzzo, Campania and Molise and an orange alert for hydrogeological risk on various sectors of Campania, Lazio, Molise and Sardinia. A yellow alert of ordinary criticality due to hydraulic risk was also assessed on other sectors of Abruzzo, Campania, Lazio and Molise, a yellow alert for thunderstorms on Abruzzo, Basilicata, Lazio, Liguria, Molise, Puglia, Tuscany and Umbria. Finally, yellow alert for hydrogeological risk on parts of Basilicata, Campania, Lazio, Lombardy, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia, Tuscany and Veneto.

With the orange alert, several municipalities have decided to keep schools closed tomorrow Wednesday 3 November. To the South extensive cloud cover with scattered showers and thunderstorms but particularly widespread and intense in western Molise and Campania. Showers and thunderstorms in the morning also over a large part of Sicily, but improving in the afternoon with more and more bright spells.
