Florence, 1 November 2021 – How much are the yellow zone at risk Tuscany, Umbria and Liguria? With the increase in infections that characterizes Italy in this period, let’s see how much the three regions could be subject to greater restrictions due to the coronavirus infection.
Covid and flu, the differences between the symptoms
In general for the three territories at the moment the situation it is basically quiet. In no case do the occupational parameters of intensive care and ordinary hospitalizations exceed the two limits respectively 10% and 15%, limits that if exceeded lead to the yellow zone. There are a couple of overruns only in terms of the weekly incidence per hundred thousand inhabitants, which is increasing in Italy. But here is the situation region by region.
Tuscany, now the most at risk are the under 12s
Tuscany, the positive / swab ratio day by day
In Tuscany, the significant increase is precisely on the incidence of the weekly cases every hundred thousand inhabitants. They were 44.3 in the week from 18 to 24 October and instead reached 57.5 in the week between 25 October and 30. A significant increase that is also visible from the progression of daily infections. As the higher health institute indicates, the contagion index Rt rises slightly: from 0.92% to 0.94%, but it is decimal. There are currently no worries, even if the alert remains high, about hospital facilities. Currently in Tuscany, indicates Agenas, intensive care is at 5% saturation (he limits is precisely at 10% (as is the saturation rate of normal hospitalizations at 5% (15% limit). Numbers that for the moment therefore make you sleep peacefully. Only the impact on one hundred thousand inhabitants exceeds the limit of 50.
Over the fateful number of 50 in Umbria, the weekly positive rate per hundred thousand inhabitants. Currently, tell l’Agenas, is at 54.5 and for the second week the number remains above the limit. It was 50.6 the previous week. On the other hand, the Rt index remains under control, currently at 0.62 as indicated by the Higher Institute of Health. It was 0.89 the previous week. The employment rate of intensive care units was substantially stable compared to the previous week, albeit high: is at 7%. The occupancy rate of common beds rose slightly on 31 October: it is 6% from 5% of the previous days. An upward trend, therefore, but which at the moment does not lead to any overshoot or to the hypothesis of a yellow zone.
Covid Umbria, 1 November bulletin
The indicators in Liguria. The Agenas indicates the intensive care occupancy rate at 5%, a figure that remained constant throughout the week between 25 and 31 October. On the other hand, the percentage of ordinary beds occupied in Umbrian hospitals remained stable at 4%. On the way up instead the contagion index Rt, currently at 1.05 according to the National Institute of Health. It was at 0.89 the previous week. A situation in the making: in the last three days the daily infections have exceeded the hundred units, something that hadn’t happened for some time. Therefore, a possible increase in hospitalizations should be monitored, even if the impact on hospitals remains very low in the Ligurian structures.
