This is the plan of the Interior Ministry communicated at the end of the National Committee for public order and security convened by the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese to take stock of the measurements.

During the meeting – which was attended, in addition to the Minister, by Undersecretary Nicola Molteni, the Chief of Police, the general commanders of the Carabinieri and the Guardia di Finanza, the heads of the Defense and Intelligence Staff and the prefect of the capital – an extensive and detailed analysis was carried out on the implementation of the measures already planned at the National Committee held on 13 October last to ensure the safe conduct of the G20.
It is, explains the Interior Ministry, “an articulated and targeted series of devices which, also thanks to the strengthening of prevention activities and the intensification of territorial and web surveillance services, is aimed at guaranteeing the regular performance of the international summit. and the necessary protection of foreign delegations “. The surveillance and defense of the capital’s airspace was implemented through the collaboration of specialized assets of the armed forces, including anti-drone systems. In the area of the “La Nuvola” congress center, a maximum security area will be set up, in which vehicular and pedestrian traffic is forbidden, except for residents and other authorized persons. As part of the prevention activities, as per established practice on the occasion of similar events, the owner of the Interior Ministry ordered the reintroduction of controls at all internal national borders starting from 10 pm on 27 October and up to 1 pm on 1 November.
