Stromae is back with a new single titled Health and announced that he will return to play in Italy in a concert for the exclusive moment on 22 July at the Snai Racecourse in San Siro for the Milano Summer Festival. The show will be promoted by Vivo Concerti and Live Nation.
Paul Van Haver, this is his real name, has Belgian origins on his mother’s side and Rwandish on his father’s side and is the first French-speaking artist with an album entirely in French to have conquered the top of the Italian chart, with Square Roots in 2013. In his music the French chanson, the sounds of Africa and Cape Verde, electronic dance and hip hop attitude merge, in the lyrics stories of immigration and poverty.
Stromae had come to the attention of the general public in 2009 thanks to the hit Then we dance from the debut album Cheese, a song that reached the top of the charts in 15 countries. In 2013, with the publication of his second work Square root it then went on to worldwide success, with over 5.6 million copies sold. In addition to prizes and awards, including 4 Victoires de la Musique and an MTV Europe Music Award, Stromae has held over 250 sold out concerts and has participated in major festivals such as Coachella and Lollapalooza.
