From Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 October in the stage area in piazza Città di Lombardia entertainment events organized by the Airg, the Italian Association of Japanese restaurateurs alternate, such as the suggestive tea ceremony (with matcha tea tasting) or the dressing of the kimono with Tomoko Hoashi. And again the performances of Yoshiko Kubota, an artist who paints with food, the concerts of the quartet Shinobu Kikuchi & Friends, book presentations, meetings on food in manga and DJ sets. Until the highlight with the Kagami Biraki, the traditional opening ceremony of the sake barrel with chef Shiro, president of Airg, and the Japanese consul, on Friday at 7 pm. Space for food with the showcooking of starred chef Claudio Sadler and Roberto Okabe , Finger’s chef. And, above all, with the possibility of tasting dishes from the cuisine of the Rising Sun (in street food mode, because a real restaurant with tables is not equipped), such as the Finger’s Garden sushi, the bento and the onigiri of Osaka or the okonomiyaki, the typical frittellone, from Maido. Gamy Robata & More offers a Japanese-style barbecue, Pop Dog Street Food with takoyaki (octopus balls), Sushita with uramaki, Karē No Kuruma with Japanese-style rice and curry and Gong Express with steamed dumplings. All washed down with the Japanese Asahi Super Dry beer, the made in Italy sake of Firenze Sake and a selection of Italian wines.
