A lively evening on Friday in via Desenzano in Milan, a stone’s throw from the Bande Nere subway. The alarm went off at around 11.15pm, when some local residents noticed a strong smell of gas in the street.
The maxi emergency was immediately triggered and the firefighters intervened on the spot, as well as civil protection, the police headquarters, local police officers and the crews of six 118 vehicles, alerted as a precaution.
According to what has been learned, the gas leak was then identified by a medium pressure pipe in front of street number 5, on which the firefighters intervened. During the operations, the condominiums at numbers 5, 7, 11 and 15 were evacuated, with over sixty people who were forced to temporarily leave their homes.
