They are more than 46 million and 51 thousand Italians who have undergone anti-Covid, based on the latest official data updated this morning on the specific Government website. This is the85,3% of the over-12s, that is, of the entire vaccinable population. Between these, 43 million and 641 thousand pari all’80,8%, have completed the entire vaccination cycle. There are therefore approx 2 million and 400 thousand Italians who have taken the first dose in recent weeks and will receive the second by the beginning of November, mathematically bringing the total number of people fully vaccinated to at least 85.3%.
Italians without vaccines are now less than 8 million: it is 7 million 958 thousand people with more than 12 years, in a very large prevalence young people with less than 40 years.
Last night the Forza Italia deputy Andrea Ruggieri, a member of the Government, live on TV during the broadcast “Dritto e rovescio” on Rete 4 said that “the Green Pass is a tool to encourage vaccinations, and if we reach 90% of vaccinated, the Government will abolish it even before December 31st“. To reach 90% of vaccinated over 12s, therefore, it is necessary that more or less another 2 million unvaccinated people undergo vaccination.
Meanwhile, thanks to the contribution of Dr. Luca Fusaro, we can analyze the vaccination trend in the various regions by examining the percentage of vaccinated over 12 with a full cycle. Regions under 75% vaccinated are colored red, 75% to 79.9% orange, 80% to 84.9% dark yellow, 85% to 89.9% yellow.
From the figure it can be seen that Sicily is in red with 74.9%, Lombardy is in yellow with 86.9%, 7 regions are in orange i.e. between 75% and 79.9% of vaccinated with cycle complete (Calabria, Valle d’Aosta, Trentino-Alto Adige, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Campania, Piedmont, Liguria), 11 are in dark yellow (Marche, Veneto, Abruzzo, Basilicata, Sardinia, Umbria, Molise, Emilia-Romagna, Tuscany , Lazio, Puglia).
In Sicily and Calabria 3 out of 4 people completed the vaccination process.
With regard to Trentino-Alto Adige it must be specified that the Autonomous Province of Bolzano has 73.5% of vaccinated with full cycle and is therefore in the last place of this ranking (it has fewer vaccinated even than Sicily), while the Autonomous Province di Trento is close to dark yellow with 79.9%.
With the next table we see in numerical terms the people vaccinated with a full cycle in the various regions and the population over 12 as of 1 January 2021 (Source Istat).
The vaccination campaign is therefore continuing rapidly and more and more regions are exceeding the threshold of 80% of vaccinated with full cycle.
