AOSTA – For having unduly received the citizenship income, the single judge of Aosta, Marco Tornatore, sentenced Antonio Zeccardo, 52 years old from Aosta, to one year in prison.

The defendant, defended by the lawyer Filippo Vaccino, was accused of having received the citizenship income despite not having the requisites as he had not indicated some lottery winnings on the application. The investigations revealed that he had won just over € 20,000 and had an open gambling account. During the trial, which was held today, the prosecution had asked for 8 months of imprisonment, but the judge sentenced him to a more severe sentence.
