In addition, another 46 deaths were recorded. In the last 24 hours 344,969 swabs were processed with a positivity rate of 0.8%. There are 367 intensive care units employed, while there are 2,692 hospitalized patients in total.
Since the beginning of the emergency 4,698,038 people have been infected, while the victims are 131,274. There are 4,481,462 healed, 3,325 in the last 24 hours. To date, there are 85,302 coronavirus positives in Italy, 624 fewer than yesterday.
THE DATA OF THE REGIONS
BASILICATA – There are 26 new coronavirus infections today 9 October 2021 in Basilicata, according to data from the latest bulletin of the Region. Another death is recorded.

The hospitalized in the hospitals of Potenza and Matera are 26 (-2) of which none in intensive care while the current positives residing in Basilicata are in all 1,171 (-15). So far 424,541 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (76.7 per cent of the total resident population) while 383,390 have completed the vaccination cycle (69.3 per cent), for a total of 807,931 administered doses. The highest percentages are recorded in the age group 70-79 years with 96.9 percent of first doses administered and with 93 percent completion of the vaccination cycle.
TUSCANY – There are 229 coronavirus infections in Tuscany today, 9 October 2021, according to the covid data of the region’s bulletin anticipated by governor Eugenio Giani on social media. There is a death. “The new cases registered in Tuscany are 229 out of 21,518 tests, of which 8,266 molecular swabs and 13,252 rapid tests. The rate of new positives is 1.06% (3.1% on the first diagnoses)”, writes Giani, adding that vaccines currently administered are 5,572,289.

In detail. In the ASL Roma 1 there are 31 new cases in the last 24 hours and 2 deaths. In ASL Roma 2 there are 40 new cases and 1 death. There are 36 new cases in ASL Roma 3, 12 in ASL Roma 4 and 13 in ASL Roma 5, while there are 38 new cases in ASL Roma 6.
In the provinces there are 60 new cases, of which 21 in the ASL of Frosinone, 22 in that of Latina, 11 in that of Rieti and 6 in that of Viterbo.
LOMBARDY – There are 284 new infections from Coronavirus today 9 October in Lombardy, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. In the last 24 hours there have been 5 deaths which brings the total death toll since the beginning of the pandemic to 34,083. The swabs carried out are 65,113, while the positive / swabs ratio stands at 0.4%. The number of patients admitted to intensive care has risen to 57, one more than yesterday, while 339 are hospitalized with symptoms.
There are 94 new cases of Coronavirus registered in Milan in the last 24 hours. As for the other provinces of Lombardy, 39 new cases are recorded in Brescia, in Varese 34, in the province of Monza and Brianza 17, in Como 5, Bergamo 27, in Pavia 17, in Mantua 6, in Cremona 10, in Lecco 5, in Lodi 6, in Sondrio 4.
SICILY – There are 283 new infections from Coronavirus today 9 October in Sicily, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. In the last 24 hours, 9 deaths have been recorded, but they refer to the previous days. Since yesterday, 17,122 swabs have been tried on the island. Since yesterday, 507 patients have recovered.
There are a total of 10,965 positives on the island – 233 fewer than yesterday – and of these 348 are hospitalized in the ordinary regime, 42 in intensive care, where 4 new entries were made, and 10,575 are in home isolation.
EMILIA ROMAGNA – There are 267 new infections from Coronavirus today 9 October in Emilia Romagna, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. There have been 5 deaths since yesterday. In the last 24 hours, 30,472 swabs were processed with a positive rate of 0.9%. There are 42 patients admitted to intensive care, 3 more than yesterday, 308 those in the other Covid departments, down by 19 units. Since yesterday 170 people have healed. In isolation at home 14,547 people. There have been 13,504 deaths in the Region since the beginning of the pandemic.
Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign continues. To date, a total of 6,576,413 doses have been administered. In the Region, 3,348,017 people have completed the vaccination cycle.
