The start of e_mob 2021, 5th Festival of electric mobility, which after a totally digital 2020 edition is finally back in attendance. Scenario of the event will be the center of Milan, with an exhibition area that from Saturday 16 to Tuesday 19 October will extend from Piazza Duomo to Piazza Cordusio, passing through Via Mercanti; and two days of conferences inside the prestigious Palazzo Giureconsulti, Monday 18 and Tuesday 19.
The community of e_mob, which brings together public and private actors involved in the Italian electric mobility sector, has the ambitious goal of pave the way for “another possible mobility” – as the title of the event states. In fact, it aims to affect the national agenda of the PNNR by suggesting concrete steps towards decarbonisation of transport. Decarbonisation that is not configured as the sole replacement of the vehicle fleet with an internal combustion engine, but as a change of general perspective: hence the choice to give space, both in the exhibition and in the conferences, to electric vehicles for the performance of services of public utility such as waste management, for logistics, especially last mile, for micro-mobility such as pedal assisted cargo bikes.
Another important aspect of this edition of e_mob is the choice of teaming up with Italian companies in the sector. In this sense on 14 October a pre-conference will be staged in the “Testori” auditorium of Palazzo Lombardia, which will present an agreement for the creation of the supply chain of the second life of batteries and it will deal with technical-scientific, legislative and political implications. The event will also be attended by Innovhub Experimental Stations for Industry, the company owned by the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce that deals with research and innovation.
And again, on the second day of the conference on 19 October there will be a session on development prospects for new companies and professionals in the sector with the participation of Formaper, a special company of the Milan Chamber of Commerce that deals with training. Also in this case a partnership is aimed at, but with the aim of coordinating the training of professionals related to electric mobility, not only for young people who have not yet entered the world of work, but also for the retraining of the adult workforce already active in the endothermic mobility
