With the polls open, a case breaks out within the Turin M5S, which directly involves Valentina Sganga, the 5-star candidate for mayor of Turin. In the social groups frequented by Grillini activists in the area, Sganga was accused of having made propaganda, close to the vote, for some candidates, through messages sent from her private account. “Tonight at about 0.50 I received a message via Fb from the mayoral candidate with indications for voting … I found it incorrect because so many candidates ran the same way if not more”, attacked Vito Dicorato, a member of the activist group M5S of Turin, posting the screenshot of the message sent by Sganga: a facsimile of the ballot paper with the names of the candidates Albano and Mensio accompanied by the Movement badge. This was enough to unleash the anger of Piedmontese parliamentarians and activists, who complain of unequal treatment and favoritism on the part of Sganga.
“If she did it massively – Senator Alberto Airola comments on social media, stigmatizing what happened – it is shameful. And if so, I’m ashamed for her”. The pentastellato increases: “Valentina Sganga you are everyone’s candidate and this is not done even in private. Also because it certainly comes out and everyone can get pissed off. They have full rights. If not, then deny”.
“It was a private message sent in response to those who asked me for a personal opinion, considering that I was talking to that particular person” – replies Sganga – For example, when a market operator asks me for directions, I talk to him about those of us who have been involved in trade. To an architect, I indicate who was involved in urban planning, and so on. I do not support the two candidates in question more than the others “, he concludes.
