Rome, 28 September 2021 – Unfortunately, the time has come to change the wardrobe. Italy is about to be joined by a cold air core which will give life to one new wave of thunderstorms, especially in the center-south. Thereafter, temperatures will drop. This is what he foresees Stefano Ghetti, site meteorologist www.ilmeteo.it, according to which “at the end of today fresh air at high altitude will take over the Alps, generating the first strong thunderstorms between high Piedmont and Lombardito”. Other rains will affect the Calabria and Puglia, as well as Abruzzo and MolisAnd. Tomorrow the cold air core “will ‘sneak’ into the high pressure field arriving from the western sectors: the weather will tend to worsen rather irregularly in the north-east with some showers or thunderstorms that will then cover most of the central-southern Adriatic sectors and the south on Thursday ”. And it is right from Thursday that temperatures will begin to drop, especially on the central-southern Adriatic, where the values are still summery. A further slight thermal drop is also expected in the north, while on the Tyrrhenian slopes, such as in Tuscany, Lazio and Campania, thanks also to a more lenient and decidedly more sunny weather, “respectable maximum temperatures will continue to be recorded”.
