Cristina Tajani, councilor in Milan, in the period of the most severe restrictions, he thought and wrote a book, “Next cities”, the result of his decades of experience in the development of Milan. A new idea of the city that our mayor, Lorenzo Radice, he wanted to propose to Legnano through a meeting at the Pertini Center.
What links Legnano to Milan? How to connect the development of Milan to restart our territory as well? The questions that Radice posed in comparison with Tajani, finding answers in an image of a city that really present “examples of policies at the service of citizens, organizations and companies with a social impact, reuse of hybrid spaces, near-working “. Here are just some of the possible ways to design “next cities”, cities on a human scale, close to the inhabitants and their needs, where everyone can reach the main services in 15 minutes.
“The never-disappeared threat of inequalities and poverty adds to the need to establish new forms of coexistence with what is not a city”, we read in a passage of the book in which the discovery of cities that still live after the pandemic it is associated with “the ability to incubate emerging phenomena and classes, but also with the constant search for a political framework that frees their potential for innovation and inclusion”.
At the meeting, among those present, Michele Ferrazzano president of the PD Legnanese, Primo Minelli president of Anpi, the new councilor of Rescaldina Adriana Gulizia, exponents of the local associative world.
