Temù (Brescia), 26 September 2021 – Stunned by drugs, but killed by suffocation. This is the hypothesis that investigators are following for the death of Laura Ziliani, which resulted to the arrest of two of the three daughters, Silvia and Paola Zani, and of her boyfriend of the eldest, Mirto Milani. The former policewoman would not have been killed since composed of benzodiazepines found in his body. Instead she would have been stunned and thus rendered helpless by the mix of drugs, anxiolytics “potentially capable of compromising defense capabilities”, to be then suffocated with a pillow while sleeping. However, it remains to be understood which elements on the corpse, found on 8 August 140 days after death, can still be found to support the thesis of non-violent suffocation.
They are set for Warranty interrogations on Tuesday by Silvia, Paola and Mirto. The three will appear before the investigating judge Alessandra Sabatucci, who signed the precautionary custody order at the request of the prosecutor Caty Bressanelli. At the moment the girls are in the Brescia prison of Verziano, where they were able to sleep in the same cell, while Mirto is in the other prison in Brescia, Canton Mombello. So far the trio, which according to what has emerged so far would have been linked by a morbid triangular relationship, has preferred silence.
