Barbie and Ken open Fashion Week with a capsule dedicated to diversity by Alessandro Enriquez. Mattel has entrusted the designer Alessandro Enriquez with the creation of a capsule for Barbie and Ken, developed on the theme of diversity and presented at the fashion week in Milan. The mini collection was created on the famous dolls customized with the looks of the S / S 2022 season of the brand. The garments have been conceived to send a message of equality and inclusion, “Enriquez Diversity”, which takes shape on the famous dolls through the use of color and Alessandro’s prints.
The Alessandro Enriquez spring-summer 2022 collection is an imaginary journey in the Mediterranean, between Italian notes, French boutade, Spanish smiles and Greek sunsets enjoyed in the company of Ken (who turns 60) and Barbie. A couple with whom, in this case, we immerse ourselves in a world of color, genderless and suitable for everyone. Three Barbies and three Kenes, multi-ethnic and with different physiognomies and builds, are immortalized in moments of carefree vacation by the artist Alberto Alicata, and will be exhibited in a traveling photographic exhibition in the city of Milan for the duration of the fashion week.
Barbie and Ken Fashionistas is the line that reflects the diversity and inclusivity driven spirit of the brand. Barbie has introduced more than 175 looks through this line, giving children an incredible variety of skin tones, eye colors, hairstyles, body shapes and fashions to choose from.
The diversity represented within the Fashionistas line offers children the opportunity to broaden their horizons within the moments of play, becoming the most inclusive line of dolls that there is and that best meets the needs of the little ones.

Enriquez’s collection takes shape and develops among the flavors, colors and scents of his land, Sicily.
The unisex and Hawaiian printed shirts are inevitable, must have of the Enriquez collections, passepartout to be combined with skirts or trousers in printed silk. (HANDLE).
