Paolo Silenzi is the new president of Cna Marche. He was elected by the 81 delegates of the assembly, representing all the associates of the region: over 17,000 artisans and small entrepreneurs and 16,000 retirees from self-employment in the region. Silenzi takes over from Gino Sabatini, who has led Cna Marche for the last eight years. Sabatini will continue to represent the interests of companies in the Marche region as president of the Single Chamber of Commerce and in Rome as vice president of the national Cna and Unioncamere.

The presidency of Cna Marche, which will work alongside Paolo Silenzi, will be composed of Michele Matteucci, Maurizio Paradisi, Maurizio Tritarelli, Emiliano Tomassini and Arianna Trillini. Paolo Silenzi, 46, from Fermano, is the owner of the family business “Linea Italia Calzature”. Strongly active on international markets, it exports 95 percent of its productions, thanks to participation in events and fairs, especially in Europe and the East. In Cna since 2009, Silenzi has been president of Cna Federmoda di Fermo since 2012 and since 2013 he took over the leadership of the territorial Cna of Fermo, until three months ago. The Assembly was attended by the Minister for Relations with the Regions Maria Stella Gelmini (from her office at the Ministry for unexpected and mandatory institutional commitments), the Cna national secretary Sergio Silvestrini, the president of the Marche Region Francesco Acquaroli, the president of Istao Pietro Marcolini and the director for the Marche and Emilia Romagna of Intesa Sanpaolo, Cristina Balbo, the economic journalist of the newspaper “La Repubblica”, Eugenio Occorsio. The assembly was opened by the usual institutional greetings of the Mayor of Ancona Valeria Mancinelli and the prefect Darco Pellos, which was followed by a report by Cna Marche president Gino Sabatini. The event was presented by Luigi Brecciaroli.

The Cna Marche has put the construction of a new development model for the “Third Italy” at the center of the comparison, capable of involving, in addition to the Marche, also the other regions of the center of the Peninsula: Tuscany, Lazio, Umbria and Abruzzo.
