The man who was injured last Tuesday in the explosion that destroyed his apartment in a building in Via Atteone in Torre Angela died in hospital today. The 57-year-old suffered burns on nearly 70 percent of his body.

Investigations continue

The incident that took place in the first Roman outskirts had made it necessary for the firefighters and the police to intervene. The Carabinieri of the Casilina company and of the Tor Bella Monaca station are working to clarify the dynamics of what happened. Due to the explosion, a large part of the attic of the building collapsed.

The other wounded

There are two others injured, in addition to the owner of the apartment concerned. The two tenants of the adjacent house were bruised, overwhelmed by the explosion of the apartment. Instead, the other people in the building were unharmed.
