In October the course “Strengthening the capacity building of social workers in the field of social and health services for people from third countries with psychiatric pathologies” aimed at 100 social workers from Municipalities, Local Health Authorities and the Third Sector with whom it initiates the real training of multidisciplinary teams envisaged by the approach of the integrated system of social and health services illustrated in the Social Plan of Roma Capitale.

The course is part of the actions of the PSIC project (Complex Integrated Health Paths) funded by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (FAMI) and is entrusted by the Department of Social Policies of Roma Capitale to the Company of Services for the visually impaired person S. Alessio Margherita di Savoia which will implement it by June 2022, with a first phase of preparatory activities and the realization of three editions of the course, starting from 5 October 2021 until June 2022.
The funding obtained by Roma Capitale for the European project amounts to 75 thousand euros, which will make it possible to finance an innovative and inclusive training activity.
The training of social workers will focus on integrated work methodologies for multidisciplinary teams; on the socio-health reading of the need for integrated care of people, particularly from third countries, with problems of mental discomfort and / or pathologies related to addictions; on in-depth analysis of the issues of mental illness.
The objective is the univocal and simultaneous training of the various actors who will make up the teams, the predisposition to teamwork aimed at sharing the approach for optimizing the service to users.
