PAGLELE ITALY-GERMANY 3-0 EUROPEAN VOLLEY
SIMONE GIANNELLI 9: An immense test directed by the blue setter, to the point of sending the granite German masons into a tailspin who, in an hour and twenty-five, cannot understand anything. Nitpicking? No direct aces (but still excellent service pressure) and no points with second intention touches but probably the perfect match does not exist. Great on the wall.
DANIELE LAVIA 9: Decisive to undermine the (few) certainties of Germany. In reception he is the one who suffers the most but he is also the one who has to undertake the dirty work, with the most dangerous German hitters who often go looking for him. In attack he closes with an excellent 55%, putting fundamental balls on the ground and adding 4 walls in important moments of the match.
GIANLUCA GALASSI 7.5: It is not his most striking performance but he plays a game of great substance. He did not start with large numbers for the central players, given that the choice was to have the cumbersome opposing masons move but from him comes a very important wall and to report there is a very high level of service that at least on a couple of occasions allows the ‘Italy to dig important furrows in the score.
GIULIO PINALI 8.5: All doubts of the eve have been resolved. Giulio Pinali is a European semi-final opposite. Today a sentence in attack (64%) and very well also at the service with an ace and many difficulties created at the opponent’s reception.
SIMONE ANZANI 7: What is written for Galassi is valid and he too, with the joke and with the many dirty balls on the wall, earns a high rating and confirms himself in great condition.
ALESSANDRO MICHIELETTO 9: The best in the field together with Giannelli. Crazy numbers: 65% in attack, 45% in reception, a block and an ace with 13 points overall but above all the personality of a seasoned player in a match against a team of much more experienced athletes.
Fabio Balaso 8: Very attentive in defense, precise in reception, another of the Italian team men. Very few smudges.
