From 21 to 26 September Cernusco sul Naviglio, European City of Sport presents the second edition of the Fair play Festival: a new week of events, after the success of last year’s edition, to celebrate and teach young and old the importance of respect for opponents, fair conduct and healthy competition, so that they are in effect the essence of sporting behavior, beyond any economic return.
It will be a unique program of its kind characterized by the narration and celebration of small and large sports stories as a common thread, through meetings and aperitifs with athletes who symbolize their sport, winners of Olympic medals from the present and the past, appointments with authors and journalists. and film screenings.
At the center of the Festival many episodes of ‘fair play’ and stories of passion and willpower, in the most diverse sports disciplines: from the moments that involve the most famous sportsmen to those that took place on the provincial fields, to witness the beauty of sport and the importance of respecting the opponents and the rules, in victory as well as in defeat.
Among the great faces who will alternate on the stages of the second edition of the event the golden couple of Italian rowing Valentina Rodini and Federica Cesarini, guests together with the multi-medal winner Giulia Terzi of the inaugural Olympic aperitif led by Carlo Genta, in the company of Dario Ricci (Tuesday 21 September).
Carlo Genta himself will be on stage again on Friday evening, for a special Tutti Convocati ON THE ROAD, together with his friend and colleague Pierluigi Pardo and journalists of the caliber of Franco Order, Fabrizio Biasin and Giuseppe Cruciani and on Saturday 25 September for a new Olympic aperitif in the sign of Zorro, that Andrea Zorzi twice world champion who represents Italian volleyball, also on the international scene. Afterwards, at 9 pm, the Cinema Teatro Agorà will host the theatrical show “The sloth and the carp”, by and with Antonio Carnevale and Riccardo Stincone.
Among the appointments not to be missed there are also some meetings with the author: from Gianluca Gazzoli, author of Scosse, to Stefano Meloccaro, coming out with a new volume dedicated to the greats of tennis, passing through Sandro Donati (world symbol of the fight against doping) and Alessandro Carvani Minetti, paraduathlon athlete, who will take part in the final event of the event to be held on Sunday 26 September at 4 pm, during which some short films proposed by OFFSIDE Football Film Festival, already partner of the first edition, will also be screened.
Organizing the Fair play Festival is Aso Cernusco, one of the largest associations in Italy affiliated with the CSI, born from the union of the sports groups of oratories present in the city with the aim of enhancing tradition, but playing in attack to propose the educational passion through sport, with the support of the Municipality of Cernusco sul Naviglio represented by the Mayor Ermanno Zacchetti and the patronage of CONI.
