A 30-year-old bartender was attacked in the Niguarda area as she was returning home on Monday 13 September. According to reports from the Corriere della Sera, the girl was taken from behind, immobilized and pushed against the wall. The attacker then tried to abuse the young woman, but she managed to wriggle and scream until the man, now wanted by the police, ran away.

The call to 112

The girl called 112 below in shock, struggling to speak. The operators immediately understood and turned the call to the police. An ambulance was also called to the scene and transported the victim to the Sexual Violence Rescue of the Mangiagalli clinic. The policemen of the cars and of the Greco-Turro police station listened to the victim’s story and the searches began, which lasted for hours, but the man probably managed to escape through a park and hide in some abandoned area.

The investigations

The police officers, reports the Corriere, have acquired video footage of the cameras in the area and are working to extrapolate some frames of the attacker. According to the victim’s description, the man, of foreign origin, was dressed in a red shirt and dark trousers. There are currently no other similar cases of violence in the area in the past.
