There is time until October 9 to visit “QUATTRO“, the exhibition of nine scarves designed by the Milanese architect and musician LORENZO PALMERI dedicated to the songs that will be contained in his next album entitled “QUATTRO. COSMIC CREDITS DANCE FLOOR “. The location chosen is MEME GALLERY in MILAN (Viale Francesco Crispi, 3).
The exhibition, which combines the two souls of Lorenzo Palmeri, music and design, is part of the Fuorisalone 2021 program. The nine scarves exhibited were created in a single edition for Meme Gallery and produced in the Made in Italy silk district. in Como.
«The project stems from a beautiful intuition of Meme Gallery, with which we have been thinking about the idea of making an exhibition for some time – says Lorenzo Palmeri – The design of the scarves was inspired by the pieces of“ Quattro. Cosmic Credits Dance Floor ”, pursuing the precise choice not to generate a direct association. Music and graphics meet rather in a symbolic and in some ways “synaesthetic” area. I believe that the songs should not be explained or represented precisely, in order to leave as much space as possible for the listener to interpret ».
“GHOST IN TRANSLATION” is a song in which Lorenzo Palmeri wanted to experiment the extremes of the pop language by playing with rhythm changes and mixing ethnic sounds with electronics.
“” Ghost in translation “is a weird, asymmetrical song, with a strong and visionary text that tries to put together everyday perspectives and broader perspectives, interiority and exteriority – declares Lorenzo Palmeri – It is a song that recounts our communicative complexities and is finally, an appeal in search of one’s own unique form ».
