“No mask” gets on the bus, attacks the driver and blocks traffic

Tense afternoon on Via Nomentana where, yesterday afternoon, a man blocked traffic because he was taken off a bus. The reason? It was without a mask. It all started when the passenger, a 36-year-old Nigerian, without a mask, got on the Cotral vehicle, which left Palombara and headed for Rome.

Once inside, the bus driver first and the other users on board then scolded the 36-year-old asking to wear the anti Covid device or to get off. The 36-year-old, however, did not want to hear reasons. First he attacked the Cotral driver – then taken to the hospital in yellow code – then damaged a panel on the bus. Not satisfied, the 36-year-old also blocked traffic by sitting in front of the bus, effectively preventing the restart.

On the spot, alerted, the carabinieri arrived and blocked the 36-year-old, arresting him on charges of interruption of public service, personal injury, damage, resistance to a public service officer.
