Two hikers originally from the province of Bergamo, missing since Sunday evening, 12 September, were found dead on Tuesday morning by the Swiss police.

According to initial information, it would be a 25 year old from Sorisole and a 45 year old from Villa di Serio. Together, it seems they had decided to spend a day on Pizzo Badile, the best known peak of the mountains of the Bregaglia valley, on the border between Italy and Switzerland.

The searches had begun on Monday morning, when the family members went to the carabinieri of the provincial command of Bergamo to file a missing person report. The lifeless bodies were found by Swiss police on Tuesday.
