Explosion and fire in a building in via Atteone, in the Tor Bella Monaca area, on the outskirts of Rome. Carabinieri, local police and firefighters on site. From initial information it appears that the explosion occurred in a top floor apartment probably due to a gas leak.

Explosion in Rome, a building is on fire

Due to the explosion, a part of the attic of the house collapsed. At the moment, according to what has been learned, three people were injured: the owner of the apartment affected by the fire was burned and transported, conscious, from 118 to S. Eugenio; two bruised people, who were in the apartment next door affected by the shock wave.

The firefighters evacuated the building, bringing to safety some people who were left unharmed. 118 is also in action to rescue the tenants while the municipal police have closed the access roads to the site of the explosion. Carabinieri from the Casilina company and from the Tor Bella Monaca station intervened and started investigations to clarify the dynamics of what happened.
