(ANSA) – MILAN, 12 SEPTEMBER – Milan is becoming more and more a film set. The Municipality has received 505 requests for authorization to shoot films, commercials or TV programs in the city, 88% more than the 237 of last year but above all even more than the 462 in 2019, i.e. in the pre-covid era.
The photos of the Ridley Scott film House of Gucci with Lady Gaga went to all the newspapers in the world, but among the films shot there are Carla, a fiction inspired by the autobiography of Carla Fracci, the third season of the brilliant friend, the Fidelity series, based on the novel of the same name by Marco Missiroli and the film on the life of Napoleon also shot within the walls of the Castello Sforzesco. Also shot this summer the film ‘I drop everything and open a chiringuito’ with Germano Lanzoni and Paolo Calabresi, the docu-film Illuminate about Fernanda Pivano that will be broadcast on Rai 3, the filming of the fiction for the first evening of Rai 1 Vostro Onore and the TV series Block 181, created for Sky Studio.
This confirms that July is the best month for the number of requests presented in the Municipality (94), followed by May (93) and April (81). The lion’s share of applications for authorizations is fashion with 133 video advertisements and 113 photo sets, followed by feature films and films (55), documentaries (46), TV series and fiction (42). Favorite sets confirm Duomo, Galleria, Scala and Palazzo Reale with 209 requests. There were 74 permits for parks (excluding Sempione and Montanelli Gardens), 44 for museums (44), 40 for the Cairoli area, Dante, Cordusio and Broletto in the center and 27 for Castello, Arco della Pace, Parco Simplon.
