The last in order of time is the one set up on Saturday at Palazzo Marino: production, actors, extras, direction, crew and workers have transformed the courtyard, the loggia and some spaces of the town hall into the set of a television series for a day.
Filming authorizations to set films, commercials and TV products in Milan are growing at a pre-covid pace: over five hundred requests between January and July, more than were submitted in the same period of 2019. To be precise, 505 questions until July, against 268 in the first seven months of 2020 and 462 in the same period in 2019. A trend that gives hope for a record closure for the current year.
Milan becomes a film set
The sprint is fashion with 133 video advertisements and 113 photo sets, followed by feature films and films (55), documentaries (46), TV series and dramas (42).
Favorite set confirms the quartet Duomo, Galleria, Scala and Palazzo Reale with 209 requests, followed by parks with 74 permits (excluding Sempione and Giardini Montanelli), museums (44), then Cairoli, Dante, Cordusio and Broletto (40) and Castle, Peace Arch, Sempione Park with 27 questions.
The quality of the productions landed in the city in recent times is also high: 2021 saw international productions and stellar castes in the streets of the center, starting with the film directed by Ridley Scott about Maurizio Gucci, which brought Lady Gaga to the Gallery, to move from third season of the brilliant friend and arrive at the Rai production inspired by the life of Carla Fracci. And again the series Fidelity, based on the novel of the same name by Marco Missiroli and the film on the life of Napoleon also shot within the walls of the Castello Sforzesco.
Great works also this summer with the set of the film Mollo tutto e I open a chiringuito with Germano Lanzoni, the docu-film Illuminate about Fernanda Pivano which will be broadcast on Rai 3, the filming of the fiction for the first evening of Rai 1 Vostro Onore and of the Block 181 tv series, made for Sky Studio. After all, July is the best month for the number of requests presented in the Municipality (94), followed by May (93) and April (81).
Data that confirm the restart of a sector that, despite Covid, has not suffered a drastic setback even in 2020 with 487 requests submitted during the year to the office for authorizations for photographic or video / cinematographic shooting /
